High School Football Semifinals



All six defending high school football state champs -- Hoover (6A), Spanish Fort (5A), UMS-Wright (4A), Madison Academy (3A), Tanner (2A) and Brantley (1A) -- are still alive.  Oneonta, the 4A runner-up in 2011 and 2012, is one win away from a third straight trip to the Super 6. Only seven teams remain undefeated entering this Fridays  semifinals.
Locally, in class 5a the undefeated Southside panthers hit the road for the first time in the playoffs to take on 12-1  Muscle Shoals   You will be able to hear all the action of the game Friday night on 930 wgad and thunder 99.3In class 4a, the Oneonta Redskins ride into Munford while in Class 3a, the undefeated Saks Wildcats host undefeated Madison Academy.  Kickoff times for all of the games are 7pm this Friday evening.

Tonight ends high school football regular season


The 2013 high school football regular season schedules will end tonight with several area teams moving on to the playoffs next week.
Tonights schedule will find:
Glencoe at Etowah
Carver Montgomery at Anniston
Jacksonville Christian at Shades Mtn Christian,
Talladega County Central at Spring Garden, 
Coosa Christian at Southeastern, 
Gaylesville at Ohatchee, 
Collinsville at White Plains.,   
Sand Rock at Cedar Bluff,   
Gaston at Pleasant Valley, 
West End at Good Hope, 
Hokes Bluff at Westbrook Christian,  
Madison Academy at Central Clay County, 
Weaver at Wellborn,    
Cleburne County at Woodland,
Lincoln at Piedmont,   
Jacksonville will travel to Saks tonight in a game you can hear live on thunder 92.7,  
Sardis will travel to Boaz, 
Springville will be at St. Clair County.

Spain Park will be at Oxford
Gadsden City Titans will travel to Hewitt Trussville in a game you can hear on thunder 99.3  
 Kickoff for all of tonites games are 7pm.
