Motor Racing Network - "The Voice of NASCAR" - will have live coverage of the Kroger 200 Camping World Truck Series race from Martinsville Speedway on Saturday at 1 p.m. (ET), with live streaming at MRN.com.
Denny Hamlin is the defending race winner while Johnny Sauter was victorious in this year's first visit to the Virginia half-mile on April 6th. Matt Crafton carries a commanding 57-point lead over Ty Dillon into the final four races of the season.

Sunday, October 27th


12:30 p.m. (ET) - Motor Racing Network will air live coverage of the Goody's Headache Relief Shot 500 Powered by Kroger from Martinsville Speedway, the seventh round of the 2013 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup - with live streaming at MRN.com. Points leader Jimmie Johnson will be going for his third straight win on the half-mile Virginia oval. The MRN broadcast will be anchored by Barney Hall, Joe Moore and Jeff Striegle

RACE WEEKEND AT TALLADEGA

Thousands of race fans are already converging on the Talladega Super Speedway for a full weekend of racing.  WTDR Thunder 92.7 and 99.3 begins live coverage friday morning from the track including Garage Reports, interviews and live coverage of Qualifying for the Freds 251 powered by Coca Cola.  Coverage begins at 10am.  Saturday coverage begins at 9am including pole qualifying for the Camping World RV Sales 500 followed by live coverage of the Freds 250 powered by Coca Cola  Nascar World Truck Series.  Coverage begins Sunday at 9am leading up to the noon start of the Camping World RV Sales 500.  Don't miss full coverage of Talladega Race Weekend on Thunder.

Golden Eagles looking for win #6 in Cleburne County

Coach Clint Smiths 5-2 Jacksonville Golden Eagles head to Heflin friday night to take on the Cleburne County Tigers.  The Golden Eagles are coming off a homecoming loss to Lincoln 28-21.  Listen to the live play by play action of Golden Eagle football on Thunder 92.7

Titans travel to Huntsville following upset win over Clay Chalkville

The 3-2 Gadsden City Titans head to Huntsville Thursday evening to take on Grissom.  The Titans are coming of an upset win against #2 Clay Chalkville last friday 24 to 21.  Listen for all the live action of Gadsden City Titan Football Thursday evening beginning at 6:30 on Thunder 99.3 and 1350 AM.

Southside Panthers move up in Sportswriters poll

Southside moved up three spots, to No. 7 in Class 5A, in this week’s Alabama Sports Writers Association’s high school football poll.
The Panthers (7-0, 5-0 in Region 7) defeated Boaz 31-6 last week.
Piedmont remained at No. 2 in 3A, while Fyffe jumped one spot, to No. 4, in 2A.
Gadsden City, which defeated then-No. 2 Clay-Chalkville 24-21, was in the “others receiving votes” category in 6A.
Etowah received votes in 5A, as did Collinsville in 1A.  The Panthers face Etowah this friday in Southside.  Listen to the game live on 930, WGAD.
